 Christmas Drive

Friends and Supporters,
Once again, it is our
privilege and honor to say to you, “ Bolshoye Spaceeba!!!! Thank you so
Much”
On behalf of the children orphaned by disease, addiction and
poverty, in Abakan, Siberia, we would like to thank so very much all of the
people who pulled together to make the Socks to Siberia 2007 Christmas drive
such a success.
With your
help we have collected enough wonderful items to make their Christmas a joyous
one! From the practical toothpaste and toothbrushes, hats, mittens and school
supplies to the just for fun Polly Pocket dolls, ponies and Yo-Yo’s, the
wonderful things that people thought to send just warms our hearts more than we
can say. With over $1800.00 in donations for postage, we are sending 31 boxes of
heartfelt gifts to Russia with your love. We have had responses from all over
Massachusetts as a result of the outreach effort by our newly incorporated
organization, Socks For Siberia, Inc. The efforts begun here in warm hearted
Brookfield in 1999, are being spread further each year. The staff and students
of the Leicester Public Schools, parishioners of St. Mary’s in Brookfield and
Sacred Heart in West Brookfield and many other generous souls who have asked not
to be mentioned by name have once again humbled us by their love for these
children so far away. Know that your kindness is huge and so very much
appreciated. You are GREAT and we are grateful!
